Literature Text

Nothing else matters,
Never felt so alive,
Can't bear to close my eyes,
That I may never see it again,
Can't stand to take a breath,
That I may not inhale the salt,
Can't help myself,
I'm in too deep,
The sweet-salty guilty-pleasure,
That is the sea.

And I'm living it,
And I'm breathing it,
And not a second goes by that I'm not thinking of it,
Someone help me please,
It's my weakness,
The sweet-salty-guilty-pleasure of the sea.

I'll live for the waves,
And I'll die for the sea,
I'll waste away under the sun's heavy beams,
If only for a wave that will carry me to shore,
A current to pull my thoughts away.

My mind's sanctuary,
It turns to the waves,
I don't need anything else to survive,
My first love is the sea,
My last breath is the sea,
May the sea have me until the day I die.
just another surf-addict poem.
